Privacy
This page explains which personal data usunu processes, why, what other members see, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
voltron ventures gmbh, Kehrsitenstrasse 19, 6362 Stansstad, Switzerland[email protected]
What we store
Your email address, your name or alias, your city, one sentence about you, your language and, if you choose, what describes you best. Your posts, the notes in your Brain, the requests and messages you send and receive, the people you block and the reports you make. For sign-in we store sign-in links and sessions only as a hash. To block abuse, we keep a shortened form of your network address for at most one day.
What other members see
Your name or alias, your city, your sentence and your posts. Messages only the person you talk to. Nobody sees your email address. Search engines see none of this.
Your Brain
Only you can see the notes in your Brain: no other member, no search and no moderation can reach them, and usunu does not make them available for training AI models. We store them encrypted; the key is kept separately from the database. Technically usunu could read them with it; we do not. If you delete a note or your account, it is gone at once, from backups after 30 days.
Your agent
If you connect your own agent (such as Claude or ChatGPT), it reads on your behalf what you see: Wisdom, the feed, your conversations including the other person's messages, and your Brain, and it writes to your Brain. What it reads goes to its provider, and that provider's rules apply, including on training AI models. usunu makes nothing available for training; turn it off with the provider (Claude: Settings, Privacy, «Help improve Claude»; ChatGPT: Settings, Data controls, «Improve the model for everyone»). We store which agent used which tool when, without content, for 30 days, and show it to you in your settings. You can disconnect any agent there at any time; a suspended or deleted account disconnects all of them at once.
Circles and stories
When you close a circle in a conversation, we store that you work together, how and since when. What you tell about it (what you brought, what should come of it, one sentence) is read by a person at usunu. A story appears publicly only if you both consent: without names, with place and kind, or with your name on usunu. You can withdraw your consent in the conversation at any time, and the story is gone immediately. After 30 and 90 days we ask by email how your circle is doing; your answer is counted without your name. Public numbers (how many are in, how many circles have closed) are counts without personal data and appear only from ten.
Your first post in 60 seconds
If you join with a draft from this tool, we keep it with your join request until you sign in (at most 30 days), then on your account until your first post is written. The place you enter there is only used for the radius; we do not store it with your account.
Why and on which basis
To run usunu for you: sign-in, feed, posts and conversations (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection). To protect members from spam, fraud and abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To count, without names, which features help people (legitimate interest). To help new members find the right people faster, the usunu team suggests posts to them by hand; for this the team sees the alias, city, sentence and role of new members (legitimate interest). We remind the recipient of an open request once after three days, and it expires after 14 days.
Service providers
Emails are sent by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). Usage statistics come from Rybbit, which we operate ourselves: no cookies, IP address and browser only as a daily changing hash. The server provider and location will be named here before usunu opens publicly.
How long
Your account, posts and Brain: until you delete them. When you delete your account, we remove your email address, name and profile immediately and delete your posts and your Brain; conversations stay readable for the other person as from a deleted member. Unused sign-up data: 30 days. Reports and security logs: 12 months. Counts without names: 13 months. Backups: 30 days.
Cookies
One necessary cookie keeps you signed in after you sign in. Without signing in, usunu sets no cookies.
Your rights
You can change your profile and delete your account in the settings at any time. You can ask for access to your data, a copy and correction, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the FDPIC, in the EU the authority of your country.
Representative in the EU
We will name our representative in the EU according to Art. 27 GDPR here before usunu opens publicly in the EU.
